Our Better Green Bills program is supporting residents to reduce costs and emissions by helping them find the cheapest renewable electricity plan for their home.

We’ve partnered with Automised Energy to provide eligible residents with a free 12-month subscription to this independent bill comparison platform. The platform analyses your electricity usage against every available 100% GreenPower plan to find the cheapest plan for your home and make switching to your new provider simple.

How does it work?

1. You authorise Automised Energy to securely access your electricity data from your retailer.
2. The platform instantly compares your usage against all renewable energy plans and finds the cheapest plan for your household.
3. You’ll get a ready-to-send switching email. Simply click send and your new retailer takes care of the rest, including setting up your new plan and cancelling the old one.
4. Each month for 12 months, Automised Energy will automatically check for more savings (because energy tariffs change all the time) and let you know if a better plan becomes available.

Eligibility

If you’re a resident of the Newcastle Local Government Area spending over $600 a quarter on your electricity bill or haven’t changed plans in more than two years, you’re eligible for a free 12-month subscription to Automised Energy. This is because these residents are more likely to find a saving*.
