Walking Trails
Blackbutt has 7 different interesting and challenging walking trails incorporating magnificent scenery and natural features through varying forest types and along creeks.
These trails are signposted at each major intersection with the name of the track and the distance. Download the Blackbutt Reserve map (pdf) to view these tracks and trails.
Some of the great walks to experience at Blackbutt Reserve include the rainforest walk which entails 1.5kms of a diverse range of flora and fauna as you pass by a gully and natural creek. Forest Way walk of 1.6kms allows a unique view of the Reserve’s bushland by passing both dry and wet forests. Tall trees walk is a great family walk through the Richley picnic area formerly an underground coalmine.
