Fees and Charges
Event Related Costs
The total cost of your event will depend on where your event will be held and what your event requirements are. A summary of possible fees and charges is shown below. Most applicants will be required to pay application and usage fees as a minimum.
Application Fees
All applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of $141.30. If your organisation is a registered charity or not-for-profit this fee is reduced to $70.60.
Late Application Fees
Application forms received less than seven (7) days prior to your event date will be considered on a case-by-case basis as we cannot guarantee approval with such short notice. A late fee will apply.

Usage Fees
Venue usage fees are determined based on the classification of the park or beach (i.e. local, district or regional), the level of event impact (i.e. low, medium or high) and whether you're looking to hire per hour or per day. Only one of the below listed usage fees will apply to your event. Park and beach classifications are identifed on the Parks for Hire and Beaches for Hire pages.
Family gatherings will usually be considered low impact.
Hire of a rotunda or other shelter structure is included in the usage fee where applicable.
Half-hour increments will be pro-rated.
Low Impact Events (*1-2,500 pax):

Medium Impact Events (*2,500-6000 pax):

*Other factors such as the size of the area used and the number of event days may also be considered to determine whether your event is classed as low, medium or high impact. Officers will confirm the impact level following an initial assessment of your application.
The Community - Charity/NFP usage fee will apply to events which are not generating a profit, or where there is a genuine intent that the event is being held to create awareness for a charitable purpose (eg community awareness and education, fundraising etc). Applicants will be asked to demonstrate this in writing.
Bump In/Bump Out:
Where bump in and bump out periods are required for major events, usage will be calculated at 50% of the above listed usage fees.

Electricity (Single Phase) - $70.00 (per day)
Electricity (3 Phase) - $207.00 (per day)
Water (per day) - $12.40
Commercial Event Assessment Fees
An event assessment fee applies to all events and activities which are commercial in nature.
Low Impact - $184.75
Medium Impact - $369.45
High Impact - $738.95
Bonds
Key Bond - $190.00 (applicable where keys are required for utilities or vehicle access)
Low Level Security Bond - $2,566.00 (applicable as determined by the assessing Officer)
Medium Level Security Bond - $6,414.00 (applicable as determined by the assessing Officer)
High Level Security Bond - $19,246.00 (applicable as determined by the assessing Officer)
Amendment Fees
Amendment Fee (Commercial/Private) - $60.00 (amendment requested after approval granted)
Amendment Fee (Charity/NFP) - $30.00 (amendment requested after approval granted).
Waste Fees
Where the City's waste services are requested the following fees will apply based on the type of service required.
Waste Delivery and Removal (240L) - $315.00 (per load up to 12 bins)
Waste Service Charge (240L) - $26.00 (per service)
Non-compliance Fees
Breach of Licence Conditions - $628.80 (per breach)
Unlicensed Event or Activity - $444.45 (per occasion)
Event Promotion Without Approval - $444.50 (per occasion)
Additional Fees
Other fees and charges may apply for things such as public notification, traffic services, event security measures, site inspections and other non-compliance penalties etc.
