Our Community Grants provide a number of funding opportunities to support initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental and economic life of the city. They are classified as either Infrastructure Grants or Community Support Grants.
Applications open Monday, 2 June (9am) and close Sunday, 29 June (midnight) 2025. A link to apply will be available here when applications open.
Grants and Sponsorship Programs Information Sessions
Community workshops, including a Q&A session, are scheduled as outlined below to provide an overview of the Grants and Sponsorship programs opening for application in June. Registration is required.

Environment and Sustainability Grants Workshops
Our Environment and Sustainability teams will be on hand to shape your project and share ways our visions can align, increasing the chance of your project's success. Bring along photos, maps, drawings, ideas and questions, and we'll brainstorm with you. Registration is required.

Social Inclusion Grants Workshops
Our Community Planning and Development Team will be available to provide in-depth information about the Social Inclusion Grants, help refine your application ideas and answer any questions you may have. Registration is required.

Infrastructure Grants
Offered annually and target minor capital activities that enhance the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the local community. The grants also assist building owners, commercial operators and other stakeholders to improve their building facades to enhance our city’s presentation.

Community Support Grants
Provide support to community-based groups and service organisations to develop effective activities that address the social, economic and/or environmental needs of residents in the Newcastle Local Government Area.
