Concierge Development Assessment Pathway

The Concierge Development Assessment (CDA) pathway is an initiative of the City of Newcastle (CN) to facilitate and streamline the development assessment of large, complex development applications. The CDA pathway provides end-to-end assessment of high impact, complex development applications from the pre-lodgement stage through to determination.

1. CDA Pre-Lodgement Assessment Advice
2. Lodgement Meeting
3. Preliminary Assessment Meeting
4. Return from RFI Meeting
5. Prior to Determination Meeting


* In accordance with the Fees & Charges, payment for the CDA service will be in stages as the application progresses.

UDRP meetings will be held concurrently with the CDA process as required. It is recommended UDRP consultation is held at Stage 1 and prior to Stage 2. Where a design excellence waiver is sought, the UDRP's in principal support of an application is fundamental in CN's consideration of any request for an exemption to the competitive design process requirement under NLEP 2012, clause 7.5(4).


How to apply for the Concierge Development Assessment (CDA) pathway

Please use this application form to apply to be included in the City of Newcastle Concierge Development Assessment (CDA) pathway. The CDA process includes key stages.

This application form is to be submitted for the Stage 1 pre-lodgement meeting and at DA lodgement to ensure the application is identified as a CDA.
