To speak with the Animal Management Facility about the animal and adoption or foster options, note the impound number and click 'Animal Rescue Enquiry'.
When adopting a rescue animal, it's important to remember that we often don't know their full history. While we strive to provide the best care and understanding, their past experiences might remain a mystery. This means they may have unique needs or quirks as they adjust to their new home. Patience, love, and a willingness to adapt will go a long way in helping your new furry friend feel safe and loved. Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to a rescue animal!

Name: Poppy Impound Number: 142 Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Sex: Female
Meet Poppy: a gorgeous tan American Staffy with a heart (and nose) that absolutely adores treats. She’s come into care without much of a backstory, so the world feels a bit big and surprising right now, she can be nervous and a little unsure of new places, however she is really starting to show her true beautiful nature the longer she is with us. The good news: give her a little time in the yard and she starts to relax, then the cuddly side comes out, and she’s very happy to accept pats and scratches. Toys aren’t really her thing, but snacks? Yes please. Poppy has shown some big feelings around other dogs at the facility, so she’s looking for a calm setup where she can have her own space to decompress. With patient humans, a predictable routine, and a safe little “this is mine” zone, she’ll blossom into a confident, loving companion. | ![]() |
