When adopting a rescue animal, it's important to remember that we often don't know their full history. While we strive to provide the best care and understanding, their past experiences might remain a mystery. This means they may have unique needs or quirks as they adjust to their new home. Patience, love, and a willingness to adapt will go a long way in helping your new furry friend feel safe and loved. Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to a rescue animal!

Name: Odin

Impound Number: 151

Breed: German Shepherd

Sex: Male

Age:
2 and a half years

Bio:

Odin hasn't had the easiest start to life. He spent his early days in a small space, wary of the world around him. Since having time to decompress in a safer, more nurturing environment, Odin is beginning to show his true colors and they’re beautiful.

This handsome German Shepherd is starting to relax and enjoy life. His barrier reactivity has decreased significantly, and although he may be cautious when meeting new people, he is learning that he doesn’t need to be on high alert all the time.

Typical of his breed, Odin is intelligent and eager to learn. He responds well to clear, confident verbal cues and has discovered a newfound love: playing ball in the yard! It’s likely he didn’t have the chance to enjoy simple pleasures like this in the past, so he’s still learning how to just be a dog and it's heartwarming to watch.

Odin would thrive with a patient and dedicated person who can give him the one-on-one time and training he needs to continue growing. With structure, love, and a bit of guidance, Odin is ready to embrace a brighter, happier life.
