Blister packs can be recycled through Pharmacycle, with free drop-off locations at participating pharmacies nationwide.
Blister packs can't be placed in kerbside yellow-lid bins because they are made from a mix of materials, such as plastic and aluminium, whereas the recycling facility is designed to sort materials into single streams only.
The Pharmacycle program uses special machinery to separate materials in the blister packs so they can be recycled into new products.
