Easter Operating Hours

Some of our facilities and services will have changed hours of operation over the Easter long weekend.

City Administration Centre

Closed for the Easter long weekend from Friday 3 April through to Monday 6 April. Regular opening hours will resume on Tuesday 7 April.

Customer Service Centre (phone enquiries)

All customer service operations will be closed over the long weekend, reopening on Tuesday 7 April. 

• For urgent matters, including those relating to public safety that require immediate attention, please call 02 4974 2000 for 24 hour assistance. 
• For all other requests and issues, please complete an online request form.

Waste services

• Waste Collections - All kerbside waste and recycling collection services are operating as usual.
• Summerhill Waste Management Centre - Operating hours are as follows:
  • Good Friday: Closed
  • Weekends and Easter Monday: 9am - 2.45pm

Our facilities

• Newcastle Libraries - All libraries and return chutes will be closed for the Easter long weekend from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April. Regular opening hours will resume on Tuesday 7 April.
• Newcastle Museum - Closed on Good Friday. Open Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
• Civic Theatre Newcastle - Closed over the long weekend from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April. Regular trading hours resume on Tuesday 7 April.
• Blackbutt Reserve - Reserves and playgrounds are open as usual. Wildlife exhibits and the park office are closed on Good Friday.
• Fort Scratchley - Closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
• Visitor Information Centre - Closed on Good Friday. Open 10am – 2pm over Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Regular operating hours resume from Tuesday 7 April.
